Calderwood is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Hazlewood as an Independent Director.
Todd is a veteran of the Cayman Islands’ fund services industry and has over 25 years of professional experience. He joins Calderwood from another Cayman-based governance firm, where he was Managing Director, following senior management positions at large firms in the sector, after starting his career with Deloitte.
With in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework of the Cayman Islands, Todd’s funds expertise encompasses AML compliance, corporate services, fund accounting, risk management, shareholder services and global tax reporting.
In his new position, Todd will undertake board appointments on Cayman Islands funds and related structures, providing guidance and counsel on corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues.
“We are delighted to welcome Todd to the Calderwood team,” said Calderwood co-founder Ronan Guilfoyle. “As we approach ten years in business, we have assembled one of the most experienced senior teams of independent directors in the Cayman Islands. Todd is highly respected across the industry and his wealth of expertise will be a considerable asset to our clients, particularly as they navigate recent regulatory developments.”
This news follows the December 2025 appointment of Joe Gaastra as an Independent Director in the Distressed Funds and Special Situations practice. Joe joined from Alvarez & Marsal’s Cayman Islands office and has 15 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency work.
Calderwood’s senior team has now expanded to 13 independent directors, since launching in 2016. Calderwood limits the number of relationships for each director to ensure every fund client receives the utmost attention.
